Let's slow down and tell a story.

This might be my favorite photo I've ever taken. It's of my sister and her daughter during a deeply difficult season in both of their lives.

To me it tells a story of a girl who doesn't feel secure, but who is loved and held tight, and it tells the story of a mother who doesn't feel like enough, but is.

This is not a cute social media pic. This isn't a photo I could've taken in a rushed 30 minute session. It feels like more.

I've tried to quit photography several times because of the pressure to go with the fast paced, picture perfect current. I keep coming back to it because I have a desire to capture images like this.

My sessions move at a different pace.

I've stopped offering 30 and 60 minute sessions. Some photographers thrive there, but I prefer to collaborate with you and talk about what story you want to tell, then really take whatever time it needs. What reality (or non reality) do you want to try to capture? There's so much rush in our world. I have to fight to slow down. I choose to customize the length and pace of a session to your needs so there is as little pressure as possible. I like to leave room for creativity, for snack breaks, for nervousness and nonsense. I don't charge for last minute rescheduling because some days you just can't and that's ok. If this sounds like your vibe, hit me up.

I'd love to hear from you.
